Utilizing Light and Shadow in Figure Drawing

Date: Tuesday, May 2nd

Description: Realize how light and shadow defines the human form when working with directional lighting. Learn principles essential to identifying shades and tones. The workshop will enhance the drawing experience by learning to create form, depth and a strong sense of naturalism when working from the figure. Techniques will be discussed and tackled. Among them are crosshatching, additive techniques, subtractive techniques and blending methods with charcoal, pencil and ink.
There are open figure drawing sessions every Friday.
